Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I am reading How To Talk So Kids Will Listen & Listen So Kids WIll Talk

and one tip was to write it down when a child is really angry or upset.
Ex: yesterday my dd was really disappointed and crying about something, so I told her I would write it down. I got a piece of paper and wrote "I am disappointed" on it and gave it to her. It worked like a charm! Her tears dried up and she clutched the paper to her chest and carried it around for quite awhile.

I have since used the same technique with my ds, Mr. Drama. He likes to keep the little notes in his pocket, and they really help him calm down.

Such a nifty idea... I think I first heard about this book right here on 4Real, too

Melinda,
I just tried your tip with my ds yesterday. It worked like magic! No more tears. Thanks.

Blessings,
Jody
