This one is old, but I love the Giselle Institute books. The teen one is called Your Ten to Fourteen Year Old.
One of the reasons I like these so much is they were written before the drama of today's ultra fast paced lifestyle. They sort of assume a slightly more normal childhood. And they are solidly Piagetian. I find that most of the time when I am wondering if a certain behavior is normal, these books reassure me (they start with Your One Year Old). A bonus is they are dirt cheap when purchased used.

Absolute hands-down must have to navigate contemporary life with teens: Bringing Up Geeks
Don't assume her advice is unnecessary because your kids are homeschooled. Particularly with modern technology, our kids are going to bump up against the culture. I like this books because it doesn't bury our heads in the sand; it takes a stand. Here's a snippet of the author's philosophy: this page is directed at tweens and young teens. The whole Geek Blog is worth clicking around.
And...because I know Maria will have my head if I don't mention it, Mary Beth Hicks will be speaking in Northern Virginia at The Phases of Womanhood Spring Tea

I'm not a parent of teens, but I have found Jim Stenson books to be so helpful for me, and he has Preparing for Adolescence.
He has a website with a few articles, including Coming Down the Home Stretch--How Parents Deal Effectively with their Adolescent Children

Oh, yes! I LOVE Jim Stenson - his books and talks. You can get his talks on tape at the Catholic Information Center in D.C. He used to be a regular speaker at the NACHE conferences in the early days. His resources are gems!

Was just doing a search to see if Bringing Up Geeks has been discussed before and wanted to add my thumbs up
We are so enjoying this book in our house. I'm reading it, dh is, and my teens are reading too! Well the boys are reading selected chapters but dd16 is hooked. I find it hilarious she is reading a parenting book, dh thinks it will help her understand and affirm us, as so far everything the author has written (we're halfway through the book) it is how we parent.
Just yesterday I had an email etiquette issue I had to discuss with my teens and it was so helpful to read out a snippet to articulate better what I had been struggling to explain.
I wouldn't leave it until your children are teens to read this book though, if you want to parent like this it is best to have these practices long in place before then. But then I've gathered most of you already do

Well, not me -- I'm still trying to figure out how to parent 4 year olds! 
(Sometimes you have to laugh to keep from crying.) 
Do any of these books deal with parenting teens with special needs -- ADHD for example?

I always seem to get back on the right track if I pick up Dr. Ray.....and take the time to tune in and listen to him. It is like a shot in the arm! Confidence is what we need---we have the Holy Spirit on our sides. It is so easy to get dejected, discouraged, and overwhelmed with all that life in big families demands of us, especially if we were not well trained ourselves for this job! (Well, for me, anyway....   .)
