I know not everyone lives in the D.C area, but for those who do, this might be of interest to you. Mary Beth Hicks, a Catholic journalist who has a regular column in The Washington Times, is speaking at a tea for women here. The tea is sponsored by Phases of Womanhood. I am on the board of Phases and know that this is going to be a really enjoyable event. More details about the tea can be found on my blog. Phases is offering discounts on tables of 10, so maybe some of you would like to go together. Hope some of you can come!

Maria ... I fixed the link to Phases of Womanhood, which sounds very much like the ENDOW group in Colorado which does great work.
The Tea sounds great ... do you know how much the tickets will be? Any interested in going -- it's on Mar 29th (a Sunday) from 1-4 in Tyson's Corner?

This does sound interesting. I might be interested in attending. I have gone to some of these events in the past and have really benefitted from them.
I have the page bookmarked.
Thanks for the information.

We have a problem with the Phases of Womanhood website. The info to register is not up there yet, but we are hoping to get it up today! (Please!!) Anyway, don't quote me, but I believe the tickets are $46 and $425 for a table of ten. I hope you all can come.

Okay ladies, I apologize! The Phases of Womanhood website is updated and the information for the tea is posted. I hope to see some of you there. If you have any questions, contact me!

Maria,
It certainly looks promising but I have a couple of questions. Is this is a Diocesan supported event? If not, then who is the sponsor and where is the money going to?
Thanks!
Kristina

Hi Kristina:
So glad to hear from you. The event is not a diocesan sponsored event. It is sponsored by Phases of Womanhood, Inc.. The money will go to completely to cover the costs of the event.
