Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

After much research I plan to try pocket cloth diapers.

Is there any reason I would NOT want to get the one size pocket diapers? They fit your baby from 8 to 35 lbs (with a history of big babies I should be able to use them right from the start!) I want to make sure I am not missing something that makes these the wrong choice.

Also, I plan on trying a few of each:

Fuzzi Buns
Bum Genius
Tiny Tush Elite

Perhaps adding some Hemp Babies Insert.

Any more I should try (or avoid)?

Should I add something specifically for night time?

Thanks for all of your continued support and advice!

I've been super happy with Blueberry. They claim to last from 5 pounds to 35 pounds. I bought them when dd was 10 pounds and they are still going strong after a year and a half.
I've used fuzzibuns for six years. They hold up really well too

The shop that I buy from stated that often these type of diapers typically only last through one child. That's the only downside I've heard. I'd love to try some for nighttime. I'm interested to hear what you think!

I like the fit of Fuzzi Bunz better than Bum Genius.

I am assuming you have read through the various threads about pocket diapers and cloth in general. A lot of people have trouble with the pocket diapers causing terrible rashes because of the synthetic material. My baby literally was peeling like a sunburn when I was only using pockets. They are also harder to get the stink out of.

They are easy though! I alternate them with prefolds and all cotton AIOs. If you get the organic pockets you might avoid any skin issues.

Hope that helps!

I really like the hemp babies inserts. They are very absorbent. I put one in with the regular inserts from the fuzzi buns.
I bought fuzzi buns for my latest baby. I was just using flat unfolded diapers before. I bought mediums and I loved them but he actually outgrew them. He's 11 months now and I had to go up to a size large. He weighs 29 lbs so he's a bit hefty .

I've been really happy with pocket diapers and have been using them for 4 or 5 years now.

With my last baby I had Wonderoos one-size and they did fit through the size range that they said they would, though for my super chubby baby that was only about 9 months. After she outgrew the Wonderoos she went into XL and then XXL Fuzzi Bunz and Happy Heiny's. If I were buying one-size pockets right now I would probably get the Happy Heiny's snap one-size because I have been very impressed with the durability of both their regular pocket diapers and their pocket trainers.

I stuff all of our pockets with plain 'ol unbleached prefolds, wash everything together with Charlie's Soap and have not had any issues with rashes or stink.
