Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

i think the last time i posted was also about our pet dilemma. we are going to move in a couple months and having pets is one of the things our sons are really looking forward. we had pretty much settled on guinea pigs, but lately i have been missing having a cat, and feeling the boys out to see if they would rather have a kitten. but they are pretty set on guineas. is there any way a cat and guinea pigs can live at peace together? should i just put my cat nostalgia on the shelf and let them have their guineas for now?
thanks
monica

We had three guinea pigs and four cats when we lived in the States. They all got along famously. Some of the cats were curious about the guinea pigs at first, but we never let them do anything more than look into their boxes. After the initial curiosity wore off, they just got used to the idea and really did not seem to notice them.

We have three guinea pigs. Last June we were given a six week old kitten. The guinea pigs were bigger than her at the time     So far she has not shown any aggression towards them. It might help that she has grown up with them.
