Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My Aunt sent $90 to be used on our 6 kids (12ds, 9dd, 7ds, 5ds, 3ds, 1ds). I thought I would buy an epiphany gift and I am thinking group gift...geosafari globe or maybe a few smaller gifts--games or DVD. Any thoughts? We had a nice simple Christmas--everyone received a few gifts and a big gift certificate to go skiing...a great year in Wisconsin for snow! Thanks for any ideas.

any museums or zoos or such that that would buy a year's family pass? Even one not close to use often but further away that you do get to occationally.. we found that even thoguh we didn't have whole days to use the pass we were given (about 2.5 hrs away) that it meant that it was worth it to go for an hour here and there when we were in the area where we wouldn't/couldn't if we had to pay for only an hour's worth of time.

I love Jodie's idea. If you're not close to a worthwhile attraction, perhaps some fun multi-age board games would be good. (We love Apples to Apples and the Dr. Noggin trivia games - those are multi-age.)

Classic DVDs (Charlie Brown Christmas!) are nice, too.

I 2nd the idea of a membership. Zoo, local museum, maybe someplace new that you haven't been to yet, but having a membership allows you the ability to get to know a new museum/garden/etc.

Or an experience - maybe a movie at a theatre (something we don't do often, so it's a treat), or a class (or local youth art museum offers classes that are few hours on one day)

Or a professional portrait of all the kids?

My BIL sent us a gift certificate for netflix. I think you could get close to a year subscription with that.

I vote for the membership too. Be sure to ask if they offer any educator's discount. we get 10%off our cost.

if not a membership then something else to do together:
board games
Wii games
DS games
outdoor stuff (various balls, sandbox stuff)
a tent

or maybe just a one time fun thing to do that normally you can't afford? an indoor game place for example? Like Incredible Pizza or whatever?
