Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Not that I'm spending my spare time these days obsessing over what to get my five boys for Christmas...but...

Has anyone heard of Rokenbok? Found here at Timberdoodle?

It's expensive, so this would have to be a group gift. But the boys would love a remote control something... and I love how they have to make this remote control something. But it's $$$$$.

Heard of it? Other recommendations?

Heard of it - yes.

Have some it - yes.

It really is fun and was a big hit when the older boys were younger. Now it doesn't come out that often but when it does they have a great time. It really is the most fun when you have lots of add ons and different trucks/loaders. I know they wish we had more parts. But you are right it is super expensive. I'll tell you how we bought ours - on clearance (75% off) at Target AFTER Christmas one year. It was probably 7 or 8 years ago when it was more novel and quite popular. Target did carry it at Christmas time only, for a couple years, but I don't think they still do.

We also had these toys (bought on clearence and Ebay). We so enjoyed them and my ds even played with them when he was a bit older. My friend and I had a great time with them on Christmas Day after the children had gone to bed!

But they are expensive! However, the company is very nice. When we had a problem with the controller, they replaced it with no charge.

Hmmm... thanks ladies! MaryM -- reading more, it does seem like the most fun comes with more cars and more controllers... which all equal more money. Since I can't seem to find it easily with a discount, I think we'll opt for something else or wait until they're a little older? Maybe we'll try K'nex, Legos or Snap Circuits and hope that even though they're not remote control they'll think they are fun? Those companies have smaller kits for less cost.

Thanks for the feedback!
