Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I am trying to get ideas for movies for our family movie nights for october, so keeping with the halloween theme. I am hoping to find stuff that is FUN and maybe a teeny bit spooky - but NOT scary.

we went with the Great Pumpkin this last week, but that was because I had it; and I need more (better) ideas.

We always take Abbot and Costello Meet (fill-in-the monster)outfrom the library. These movies can be a bit spooky, but also very funny...don't know if they are for the 6yo. though.

the 6yo actually watches some Dr. Who () so I think the A&C would be okay, and I think my goofy ds would find them hilarious!   Thanks for the suggestion...

I know the month is almost half over, but...

I always liked Blackbeard's Ghost with Peter Ustinov and Dean Jones (1968 Disney).

Casper the Friendly Ghost with Christina Ricci
Casper Meets Wendy with Hillary Duff

Legend of Sleepy Hollow...old cartoon version.
