Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

end of me!!

My two year old managed to get a plastic cup suctioned onto his face (above nose to chin). I was trying to gently break the suction when he just reached up and popped it off...now he has GIANT hickey all over his face.

I guess I will need to cancel the boys' portrait appt that they have tomorrow.

yikes.. I've had a few.. the one who loves to cut her own hair.. thank goodness for easter hats

and the pictures of my third daughter's baptism have the next up sister with a big scrape across her eyebrow/cheebone and a bruise on her forehead.    She managed all that the week before.. pulling a heavy mcdonald's high chair over on herself and then running and falling on the sidewalk not 2 hrs later.

Hmm considering her track record.. I'm starting to wonder if my 21mo old is gonna manage some bruise/scrape etc on her face for the baby's baptism here in 2.5 weeks.

They do grow up though! Make sure you get a picture of that hickey for the family archives.

My mom's boss (a school phychologist) came to work one day with a two inch round hickey on his forehead. He put one of those suction cup basketball hoops on his forehead to play basketball with his two year old. It lasted a few days.

ROFL! Cancel the portraits! Oh my goodness, that is the most wonderful thing about parenting IMO - all the goofy antics.

Glad he's OK.

Blessings,

This would be funny, except my 9 yos did this same thing the other day .... his looked like he might have meningitis or some other particularly horrendous disease until we remembered the cup/face thing earlier!

He looks a lot better today. He keeps walking around saying, "I got a red mustache."

I'm afraid he will like the look to much and try it again.
