Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My 10mo has been taking extremely short naps and waking up often at night. Her 2 bottom teeth have already come in. She's been taking 20-30min naps 2x a day(if that!). She's in a good mood, despite the little sleep she gets. She just doesnt sleep well at night anymore now either. She wasnt the best sleeper but she would sleep at least 4hrs or so before waking. She still nurses btw. I co sleep with her for now until we move and dh is back with us.

I dont remember what it was like with my other 2. How many naps does your 10mo take and for how long?

Mine get weird sleep things going on when they're transition from 2 naps to 1 nap a day.. and when they're transitioning out of naps altogether. Very frustrating time. Have you tried just one nap a day and see how that works?

And teeth can follow their own rules for time frames.. are you sure there aren't others trying to come in making sleep difficult?

At 10 months, I was lucky to get a 30 minute nap out of her 2x/day. Now at 16 months, she naps 1x/day for about 90 minutes. She sleeps 10-12 hours at night.

She's happy and growing otherwise - just doesn't need much sleep. My first napped a lot, my second less, and my 3rd apparently needs even less sleep.

I had to check and see whether I had written this post- truly! 'cept my little one is now 11 months but still doing the same kind of thing and I think it is teeth for her. We have a few weeks of good longer naps and then-voom- back to short ones when the teeth are bothering her.

She's now only taking one nap and on a bad day it can be 45 minutes, usually 90 and I jump for joy when it's longer. She's waking earlier too but I don't know if that is cause it is getting lighter here.

Well, at least now i know it's normal. Thank you ladies! I will try out 1 nap and hopefully it will be at least an hour. I'll settle for a longer nap once a day vs. 2 shorter naps.

Well, i've been giving her a nap around 1pm and she's been sleeping for about an hour! I guess it's just 1 nap a day for us now. Thanks!
