Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I am beginning to research internet filter products as my oldest is needing to use the computer more. I would like her to start doing Google Image searches for her timeline book but am wondering if there is a filtering program out there that would block inappropriate images in an image search.

I look forward to reading the responses. Thank you.

We are venturing into this territory as well. We have started using a combination of Blue Coat K9 Web Protection
www1.k9webprotection.com and the Glubble parental control plug in for Firefox. We rarely use IE so it is simply disabled. Both of these are FREE. And work very well.

The drawback is that you have to fine tune things and be aware of what all the features do. For me, this is difficult because it takes a lot of time. I am surprised sometimes at what does leak through, so I just have to change the settings. Unfortunately, this unwittingly can block a lot of good things as well.

Google also has a built in filtering feature. You can put it on safe search and this reduces the likelihood of running into anything icky.
