HI,
I was just wondering if any of you have ever made a "wardrobe checklist" for your children.... in other words, a list of what they need for each season, one for girls, one for boys?
With the change of seasons, we go through our clothes and figure out what we need, what fits etc.... however, I would love to have a checklist/basic wardrobe list to avoid over crowding of drawers and closets. This would also be helpful when going through "hand me downs" and clothes that others give to us.

Here's my checklist:

Boy--Winter:
5 long-sleeve shirts
5 pants
5 undershirts
6 socks all the same color
1 sweater
1 coat
1 hat/mittens, etc
2 pajamas
1 Sunday outfit
shoes
boots

Boy-Summer:
5 shorts
5 shirts
1 raincoat
1 bathing suit
2 pajamas
1 Sunday outfit
sandals

Girl-Winter:
5 playdresses
6 tights
1 Sunday dress
shoes
boots
1 coat
1 sweater
2 pajamas
ETA: hat, mittens, etc.

Girl-Summer:
5 play dresses
1 Sunday dress
sandals
bathing suit
2 pajamas
1 raincoat
1 cardigan (for in between seasons)
ETA: sun hat

Am I forgetting anything? I just did this off the top of my head but I just overhauled my entire stock of kids clothes according to this system and it's been great to see how much simpler life is in clothing area. I blogged about it here.
