This weekend we went to visit our dd Sara (28). She proudly presented us with a copy of The Virginia Quarterly Review (VQR), one of the oldest literature magazines in the USA. Within the pages of this prestigious magazine, which has in the past published famous poets such as Robert Frost, Eleanor Roosevelt, Pablo Neruda, John Berryman, T.S. Eliot and Ezra Pound, is her own poem “St. James Infirmary”! This is Sara first published work! This edition of the VQR includes poems from the current poet laureate, Charles Simic, two past poet laureates, Billy Collin and Ted Kooser, award-winning writer Michael Bishop (his poem in this issue is dedicated to his son, who was one of the victims of the Virginia Tech massacre on April 16, 2007) and many other award-winner poets. We are so excited for her.  What a beginning!
