Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Has anyone here adopted from Poland? I'm feeling drawn there since the death of our precious Pope John Paul II. I hope you'll share here in case someone else is wondering, but if you want, you can PM me.

We're also having trouble finding a homestudy agency that is willing to study a large, faithfully Catholic family. Our Catholic Charities here in Massachusetts shut down their adoption ministries because the state requires ALL agencies to study and place with homosexual couples. The bishops said, "Right then, we're done". Unfortunately, we haven't an exception for religious organisations... UGH.

Most of the agencies here are ultra-liberal and have the wackiest arbitrary rules about what constitutes a suitable family. We were refused a homestudy by one agency because we homeschool! Can you imagine? What's the world coming to, I wonder?

Ooooh, that was another wild tangent. Apologies...

Blessings,
