Hi Everyone,
I hope there are some California moms out there, because I REALLY need some advice about some things. My husband just accepted a job offer in San Jose, CA. We believe it to be a providential move since we prayed the St. Joseph novena for my his job search...and then he gets a job in San Jose (St. Joseph!).

Anyway, we currently live in the Dallas area and have three young children, 3 1/2, 22 months and 7 months. We know no one in the San Jose area, so we'll be starting from scratch. I intend to homeschool the kids and was hoping I could do a search online to find some groups in the area, but haven't had much luck. We are also looking for a good (orthodox) Catholic church so that we can decide what area to live in based on the church and work distance. We're pretty traditional and would like a church that reflects that, if possible. Also, a pro-life group, mom's group, homeschool group would be AWESOME too! I don't really know if what I'm asking for is possible, but I just thought I'd ask.

If there is anyone on these boards who lives in that area, please email me so we can chat! I really need some help figuring out which end is up!

You don't know how encouraged I am today after getting your replies to my post. I'm hoping I feel like I have a built in support group by the time we get to California to begin the biggest adventure of our lives!

We moved from the Bay area to Colorado in January. Our parish in Santa Clara was absolutely wonderful: awesome priests, perpetual adoration, confession before every Mass. They have a homeschooling group that meets after the noon Mass on first Fridays and sometimes after the noon Mass on Wednesdays. It's Our Lady of Peace Church in Santa Clara.
