Has anybody here heard of Marie Bellet? I just love her music. She has a song on her 1st CD titled What I Wanted to Say and it's been a tremendous inspiration to me and having courage when taking my children out in public. It's track number 8 if you want to listen to an excerpt.

I am sure that I am her number 1 fan!
I found her years ago and she continues to encourage me and soothe my soul.
So glad you found her!

LOL, I didn't think to do a forum search. I was sure you ladies had probably heard of her, but hadn't seen any posts about her. (My computer time is scarce though, so I don't pop in much). And I thought I was her #1 fan.

I had not heard any of her music (although I have heard of her,) until I checked out her site, as she is coming to a church near us, in May. What is your favorite cd? What would you suggest someone new to her music buy?
Thanks!

Well, my favorite CD is which ever one I'm listening to at the time. Sorry I can't be of more help. Perhaps you'd want to start with her newest one and work your way back or vice versa. Or if you hear her perform first, pick the CD with the songs you like the most.

I would say get her first one, What I Wanted to Say, first. It is so beautiful and speaks to our lives and struggles so well.
Her second CD, Ordinary Time, is a little more focused on the world around us. Except the first track is all about being happy in the now. I cry every time.
I love all 4 CDs. I listen to them based on my mood. The all have deep, thought-provoking songs and then fun, lighter songs. But there is a slightly different perspective to each one.
Hope that helps!
I would love to see her in person. What a treat!

Love 'em all! My kids love 'em too! I don't think I could pick just one.

Thanks for the recommendations!
I am not planning on going to her concert (but it would be fun as many in my hs group are.) I find that when I make that specific of a plan, someone always winds up sick (something my mum said never failed when we were young! )
God Bless,
