Is The Giant Jam Sandwich a hit in your house?

I loved it growing up and so do my kids but I can't really explain why!

I'd forgotten about that little gem! Of course we loved it growing up... will keep an eye out to share it w/ my kids!

(I have a four year old Xavier (middle: James) too!)

I LOVED that one growign up too! I haven't come across it in a long time though. My kids would love it I'm sure. Gonna have to keep an eye out at the library next time. Thanks for the reminder!

I haved loved this book forever and my kids love it too!

What is it that makes the book so appealing to kids? Is it the crazy storyline, the problem-solving that takes place, the illustrations...

Hailing from MN, it tickled my fancy that one might make a huge sandwich that could trap all the mosquitos!

I love this book as well. I just finished writing a unit study for it that I plan to use this summer around strawberry picking time.

I just picked this up from the library yesterday and saw this thread.

I am looking forward to reading the book and doing some parts of the unit study.
