I am looking for a particular type of book:
For each letter, the page should have a large and small letter and multiple pictures of things that begin with that letter sound. Not just one or two items with the word printed on them, but lots of items with no other writing except for the two examples of the letter in print. It would be great to have a two-page spread for each letter with awesome art work!
I have looked at several libraries, but I can't find what I am looking for, can you help?

My little boys loved the ABC book from the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Unfortunately, it only has capital letters, but there are four pictures for each letter, usually all representing the same thing (boat, foot, apple, etc.)
They also have another board book version called My First ABC, which has both the capital and a lower case for each letter but only one picture per letter.
If only they would add lower case letters to the regular book! It's not exactly what you are looking for, but we did really enjoy it.

Closest I can think of (though they aren't EXACT matches of what you want) are
The Alphabet Game
And
Animalia

This isn't exact, but I love the Red Letter Alphabet Book.

JennGM - I have the Red Letter book, and they love the tactile letters!
A Long Piece of String Just found this and love it! Not what I was looking for, but what a great wordless book.
Also found The Alphabet From A to Y With Bonus Letter Z. It looks promising, at least for the artwork portion of what I'm looking for.
How could I forget Animalia?! It is sitting on a shelf, I think, but since I'm still unpacking some books I need to check.

Ah, a picture book challenge ...
Not sure if there is a book that meets all the criteria. Not one that I could readily think of and even with some searching only found a few that were close.
ABC: A Child’s First Alphabet Book – mostly one but a few two page spreads, upper and lower case letters, multiple items starting with letter, illustrated scenes are united not separate objects. Does have words but only labels one item. Has a nice separate index page with the items shown listed for each letter.
Anno’s Alphabet: An Adventure in Imagination – only upper case letters but other than that meets the criteria of no other writing and multiple pictures of words beginning with the letter – one main item and others intertwined in the border illustration. Two page spread.
Gyo Fugikawa’s A to Z Picture Book – upper and lower case letter, two page spread, lovely illustrations, lots of examples . But each picture is labeled so has wording, not just the letters.

And I meant to add Richard Scary books as they meet some of the criteria. He has several ABC books. Most have upper and lower case. All have multiple items for each letter (some focus on starting letter, some books include the letter within words). All have fun illustrations that children generally seem to be drawn to. But they all have word labels (and some have stories) so aren't just the letter on the page.
