Can anyone tell me if they love the Henry books by Mark Taylor?

Henry the Explorer

There's a whole little series of them reissued by (the wonderful) Purple House Press. My library doesn't carry a single one! Used copies aren't the cheapest. And there are no preview options on Amazon…

But they are quite well reviewed and SOUND lovely based on those. Still, I wanted to hear thoughts from my well-read and well-opinioned ladies here before purchasing! I have a little Henry who looks like the boy on the cover and am wondering if this would be a great little collection to start buying for him…

I, too, have a Henry, and we used to get the books often from the library. Then, a few years ago, it was reprinted, and I didn't hesitate to pay full price. Though at the time, used copies had been $50-100!!! So, it was relatively cheap . I LOVE the first one and like the sequels a lot.
