I have this book and it is lovely. I actually paid $6.95 for the paperback several months ago. They have it on Amazon for $4.95 for the hardcover plus it is eligible for the 4 for 3 promotion. There are about 40 titles that are eligible that would be wonderful for nature study. There are land and sea animal books. Don't even ask me how many I just purchased.      If you want to buy more than 4, you need to put them in your cart 4 at a time to get the 4th free.

Oh, I love those Smithsonian Backyard books. I keep hoping I find more, because I HATE paying for shipping. Do be aware the one you linked is the miniature size -- and they are tiny. But still wonderful.

ETA: I do think I'll fill my cart so I can give for Christmas.

I am not concerned that they are smaller books since I am planning on using them for reading baskets for quiet time.
