I added this to the baseball books thread, but feel it needs to be highlighted individually as a Picture Book a Day because it is so good and highlights a big family.

It is the "true story of an amazing all-brother baseball team." WONDERFUL story - I love little known real life stories. This is about a large family (12 brothers, 4 sisters) in the 30s-40s who were the longest playing all-brother baseball team in the country. Great story for anyone who loves baseball or large families!!


I was curious and searched a bit. Discovered the family (Acerra Family) was Catholic - which is what I would have expected from a big Italian-American family in the 30s. But it was nice to have it confirmed.
