We've been on a Lucy Micklethwait journey.

All these years I only had heard of A Child's Book of Art: Great Pictures - First Words which is so lovely.

But the past few weeks we discovered her I Spy and Spot a Titles. These have been wonderful to read together with both my 2 1/2 and almost 7 year old. The paintings are beautiful, but the topics really train the eye to observe the paintings. My older son will look at who did the painting, discuss what other paintings it reminds him, where he's seen it before.

I Spy: An Alphabet in Art
I Spy Shapes in Art
I Spy Colors in Art
I Spy Two Eyes: Numbers in Art
I Spy a Lion: Animals in Art
I Spy a Freight Train
Spot a Cat
Spot a Dog

It was hard to choose a forum to post this. While it is a picture book, it could fit into the art forum, or the Early Childhood learning.

We love those books, too! Our favs are the I Spy Alphabet, shapes, and Animals.
