Just found these at Costco this week. Oh, wow! Had to get them. I have just recently become aware of Cicely Mary Barker and her fairies. All the books are soo-oo pretty. Can't wait to give these to my dd for Christmas. I just might not be able to wait

What a great score! My daughter and I were perusing the flower fairy site today and somehow discovered the flower fairy chapter books. I'm thinking of those for my daughter for Christmas...

Amy -- the A Flower Fairy Alphabet is a great addition to any collection of Cicely Mary Barker's books! The Alphabet Fairies are so cute -- and the words to each song are the poems that go with each fairy .... we had borrowed the CD from the library and my littles (yep, even the boys ) enjoyed it so much we thought we'd better get our own copy!

Be sure to stock up supplies to make fairies: artificial flowers, leaves, snowflakes (for different seasons), wooden beads, embroidery floss and florist wire. My dds love to make fairies.

I was just about to email you friend to see how you were doing...
If you really want one, (I think I have to head back out there first thing in the morning..) I could pick one up for you if they still have them. I got one of the last two sets they had.

I have the Flower Fairy Alphabet to put into my little one's Christmas stocking - I already downloaded the CD, which she loves. I also bought this Flower Fairy Alphabet jigsaw for my Mum. Rather neat that an 80 year old and an 18 month old are getting matching gifts, don't you think .
I grew up with the Flower Fairies as my great-aunt had a set of the seasons books. I have them now, but they are rather tatty and one has got lost - which is a shame as they are first editions .

I couldn't help it, but I bought the Complete Flower Fairies collection at Costco last weekend too. I saw it and I knew that my son wanted the Flower Fairies of Winter book (which I pulled out of the case to give him as part of his St Nicholas gifts). He's been drawing the Holly Fairy and learning the accompanying poem. He doesn't seem to have any problem with the fairies and is learning a lot about trees and plants. He does draw the more masculine fairies though!
We also have the Complete book of Flower Fairies, but some of the individual books included in the set I found int Costco are not in the The Complete book of Flower Fairies.
