Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I know some of you have mentioned this before, but I just read it to my children for the first time and it is just a really fun and wonderful book! We all laughed so much. And the message of what a family can do when they pull togehter is awesome. The illustrations are very warm and fun too. (and familiar! LOL!) They remind me of the illustrations in another book, Everywhere Babies, that we enjoy. I'll have to dig it up and see if they are done by the same artist. (Marla Frazee) Fun book, HIGHLY recommended, esp. for a big family!

I think you'd love the Rattlebang Picnic too!

The young couple had to decide, keep the rattleing car and have a family or get a new car that doesn't rattle and bang. They chose to have the family ...

Ours is dogeared from being read so much. I love the illustrations too, Lisa. I love how her home gets progressively more "interesting" as she has more children.

It's a favorite around here too! We have another story illustrated by Marla Frazee that I picked up recently at a library sale and my pre-readers got all excited thinking that it was a sequel to Seven Silly Eaters!

My son picks this one over and over and over! Of course, he's a silly eater, too!

We LOVE this book. I love the well lived in home with all the piles! It SO resembles my house--all those piles of laundry, dirty dishes. It's awesome. My middle dd asks for this story often.
