Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Has anybody heard both of these versions?

unabridged audio version:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/customer-reviews/0694524751 /ref=cm_cr_dp_2_1/002-2802190-8615254?ie=UTF8&customer-revie ws.sort%5Fby=-SubmissionDate&n=283155

OR,

Focus on the Family's radio theatre:

http://www.amazon.com/Chronicles-Narnia-Never-Magic-Theatre/ dp/1589972996/sr=1-6/qid=1171229377/ref=sr_1_6/002-2802190-8 615254?ie=UTF8&s=books

I would like to know which one you prefer?

We own the Radio Theatre version...and have listened MANY, MANY times over.........but, I want to get a CD version.....ours is cassette.........and, I am tempted to get the original stories, instead of the radio theater version.

But, I want to know if you cared for them???

this is in planning for our looooooong trip

Chari, I prefer the unabridged readings to all others, though I do love the BBC Horse and His Boy dramatized. The readers are perfect, and the unabridged stories are really best.

We *loooooove* the first one, but haven't heard the other one, so of course we're biased

Hi Chari,
I couldn't get your link to work for the unabridged audio versions. But if you are talking about the Harper Audio ones, I highly recommend them. We really enjoyed them.

I had heard the the Focus on the Family ones are great, and even ordered them when they were on deep discount. We have only listened to LWW so far. But I'd still recommend the unabridged version.

CHari we defiantly give the unabridged version 2 thumbs up. I asked the girls which they prefered and agree although the FOTF one is charming the unabridge is far better.

Oh, Macbeth! I just LOVE the dramatized version of The Horse and His Boy, too!

Okay......I see it is the unabridged version that wins out!

That makes for an easy decision!

Thanks, everyone!

I think we've only heard the Focus on the Family one here. It has been well-received. Sounds like you'll do well no matter what you choose -- oops, just see now that you've decided on the unabridged! Enjoy!!

Oh, that's okay, Kelly! We already own the FOtF cassettes....which we have listened to a hundred times and love.....I was just going to upgrade to CDs....in anticipation of a car with a CD player ............and on amazon, I was tempted by the reviews of the unabridged version.

Now, I will have both

I always aprreciate an opinion.........makes the decison making easier.....most of the time!

Blessings!
