Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

by ytreeide is one of the best advent books we've ever read. last summer, i saw the sequels at a used book store but didn't buy them because we hadn't read jotham's journey yet and i wasn't sure if we'd like it. now, i'm kicking myself. so, the sequels are going for $60. will these books likely get a new publisher? or shall i start saving my nickels?

Mary,
The publisher, Servant, was bought by a larger publishing company and split up. The Catholic side of Servant went to St. Anthony Messenger, the Protestant side is now part of the larger company whose name escapes me.

I can't imagine that these books will not get picked up either by the same publisher or another Christian publisher. Maybe we should all start writing letters to the same publishers, Thomas Nelson would be a good one, and ask them to pick the books up.

I wouldn't pay the exhorbitant prices for the books. Even if they stay out of print, I an sure the price will level out some.

Our Jotham is falling apart, but this year we are reading Bartholomew so I won't worry about it yet. Just a couple of years ago, I had stacks of all three books. Who knew that we should have held onto them? Could have paid for Christmas this year!

I do have an extra Tabitha, but I 'm not sure want to part with it. My kids are rough on books, even ones that we only read one month out of the year!
