Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hi Everyone!
I am a newbie and I can't tell you all how much this forum has inspired me! I am telling many Catholic mothers about you all. Thank you so much for all your insight.
I am wondering if any of you could recommend a good, heart-warming story (prefably with some Catholicity to it) for a 16 year neice of mine for Christmas. Any ideas? I really appreciate it!
Much grace, peace and love to you all!
Hassie

I know a 16 year old girl whose favorite books are Regina Doman's trilogy (not yet completed)...

In the Shadow of the Bear

Black as Night

I recommend you read the reviews at Amazon (great!) and you can see a sample chapter on Snowhite and RoseRed.com

I was thinking of recommending those ones, too. I know I would have liked them as a teenager.

Another one also by Bethlehem Press is They Loved to Laugh

Jen and Willa,
Thank you so much! I will look into these and choose one for her Christmas gift. She loves to read so I am sure she will enjoy one of your recommendations.
Have a blessed weekend
