I was given a stack of 7 of these Lamplighter books. They are in amazing condition and perfect. I don't have a lot of time right now to pre-read them all. Can anyone tell me if they are ok and in line with our faith? The titles are: The White Dove, Shipwrecked:But not lost, Tomorrow, Amy & Her Brothers, Titus: A comrade of the cross, The Hedge of Thorns and The Cat of Bubastes.

Thanks I know someone will know about these books.

The only one I am familiar with is The Cat of Bubastes. It is by G.A. Henty whose works can be ant-Catholic, but the titles like this one which take place before the Protestant Revolution are generally regarded as fine.This thread includes links to other threads on the subject.

Have you tried searching the forums for the individual titles rather than the "lamplighter" description?
