Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I'm searching, as usual, for something great for my ds (13) to read. He has gone through so many series and is always hungry for more. I have the Chronicles of Prydian on my Amazon wishlist but I honestly don't remember putting it there. I did a search here at the boards but came up with nothing. Does anyone know anything, good or bad, about this series?

I read some of those as a child, and my boys especially have loved them. They're based on Welsh legend and very well done.

I think the Chronicles of Prydain is a great series. My kids have all enjoyed it. Lloyd Alexander is an excellent author. The old Disney movie, "The Black Cauldron" is based on the series.
God bless,

We all loved the Prydain Chronicles series! They are well written, exciting (swords, adventures, wizards, warriors and ordinary people), and teach good lessons (good, evil, consequences, the value of sacrifice and friendhip). The audiobooks are well done too.
