Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My son is reading "Kidnapped" and was wondering if there is a pronunciation guide for the many Scottish Gaelic words anywhere. I briefly looked online, but couldn't find anything fast. Any ideas?

I don't know...is there a translator online? Do you have access to Mango Languages through your library?
Our whole family read that book aloud and love it!

I haven't found anything that helps with the pronunciation. I even asked one of my husband's colleagues, who is from Wales, but he didn't have any helpful suggestions either. We do have Transparent Language through the college, but what we need is the pronunciation of all those Scottish names!!
