Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Now that sounds neat! I'll have to check it out and the site.

I have my original 1970s issued Little House on the Prairie series in the case still although it's getting very worn now. My oldest DD dug it out of the top of her closet 4 years ago to read in 2nd grade. She read them all, I then re-read them all for the first time in prob. 25+ years!! Then we collected all the Martha, Charlotte and Caroline series books (even though not written by Laura Ingalls Wilder) and craft books and stories by her daughter, Rose. Then we collected even more of Laura's books and visited her homestead in MO 2 1/2 years ago. That was really neat.   My oldest started re-reading some of them again a few months back and I'm sooo glad I have 2 younger daughters and hope I can enjoy them again with them in a few years.

In fact, I actually have purchased some of the First Little House on the Prairie books. My 3 yo has really liked those.

Last (I promise) we just finished Farmer Boy on audio while driving back/forth to my son's tutoring.

Can you tell I became a little Little House on the Prairie obsessed?! Oh, did I mention we purchased Seasons 1 and 2 on dvd too?

So, no, I've never used pepper in chicken's bran mash...never made chicken's bran mash.

Ahhhh, but your summary is so well-written and def. lends the feeling as to why I did become so Little House obsessed.

Ah, thank you, Kathryn. I really appreciate you taking the time to read and comment.

Enjoy your homeschooling days and Little house days.
There's absolutely no place like our own Little Houses.

I just tidied our book shelves and found multiple copies of most of the LH books. Except Little Town. We do not own even one Little Town. No idea how that happened.

I'm keeping all those copies in case the unabridged editions are hard to obtain by the time my grands are reading.

I love this series. I reread it a few summers ago and really enjoyed it as an adult!
Pulling out LH. Can't wait to read it to our girls. And..I think one of our boys would love hearing it out loud too. Something so comforting, fuzzy, and warm about this series.

Thanks for reminding...
