Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

First of all, thank you to everyone who has previously written how much their family loves the Redwall series. I bought the book for my son a few months ago, and he has enjoyed it, and the next few in the series. I decided I wanted to listen to audio books on our car trips, so signed up for an audible subscription. The first one I bought was Redwall, read by the author, Brian Jacques and cast. WE LOVE IT!!! We have started listening to it at home as well, because we are so keen to know what is going to happen next (my daughter and I haven't read the book). I cannot praise this recording enough, it is so enthralling. It's going to be hard to listen to anything else of lower standard now! I was going to buy The Hobbit next, but I think the children want another in the Redwall series.

We are also listening to this version on cd right now. The cast is great- I'm glad that I didn't just read the book out loud; I could never have done all the voices, the Sparrow talk, etc.

Cluny does come on a bit strong, and my dc keep wondering what a "squittle" is, though.

Thanks for the recommendation Natalie, I've been trying to decide what to get next from Audible and I'm sure my son will love this!
