Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Please give me a good idea or two!!

The Phantom Tollbooth

The Tom Playfair Series by Father Finn

The King Arthur set (4) by Howard Plye (hilariously fun!)

Around the World in 80 Days by Jules Verne (funny!)

all of these books have appealed to all of my kids at any age.......and me!

I think that a fun read alouds to go with a tea set would be from classic British series where the children are often taking tea together.

Edith Nesbit's books like The Railway Children and The Treasure Seekers fit that description. Also, the Swallows and Amazons series does as well (though, in this case, it is instances of their getting a tea together while camping--very fun, just no tea set, lol).
