Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

What are some of your favorite editions of Aesop's fables? I can't believe we don't have a copy of these here at home. I would like to add one to our library.

Here is a quick one from the archives: Favorite fables?.

And, my answer is still the same, so at least we're consistent in SOMETHING!!

We've checked out lots of different versions from the library over the years, and Pinkney's version is always the favorite.

We have and love the Santore version that Mary linked in the old thread. Great illustrations.

Ditto!

We have that one as well. It's an older version than the one Mary linked (ours is a 1988 printing), but the same amazing illustrations. You can click to look inside the book to see the illustrations from Amazon's link.

Thanks! I was able to order the Santore 1988 edition from Paperbackswap and the Usborne edition from Bookmooch. That should cover us

My 7yo really likes this edition. She received it for her 5th birthday and reads it pretty regularly of her own choice:
Aesop's Fables: A Classic Illustrated Edition
