I've read perhaps the first 10 or so books in the series and enjoyed them very much. The history is well-researched. I like, too, the idea of encouraging readers to keep journals and diaries or to correspond by letter with friends, and this series makes journalling look cool and interesting. (I love history, particularly family history...I sure wish my ancestors had kept diaries or written letters that someone had saved.)
