Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Does anyone know of any study guides/deeper exploration materials to use with the Chronicles of Narnia? I'm planning to use this with a very bright, perceptive 8th grade girl who HATES *boring, dumb* questions to answer. I'm not so creative, so I'm not sure how to stimulate thinking or direct thoughts as we study.

Thanks in advance.
Peace,
Nancy

I do know of one, but I can't seem to locate it online right now - I've been hoping someone else would step in....

I'll keep looking :)

I have seen one in the Veritas Press catalog but don't remember what grade it is intended for or how good it is.

Nancy,

There's the unit study Further Up and Further In which spends an entire year on the books. Karen

You can find that here:

Further Up and Further In

I always wanted to use Where the Brook and River Meet, but so far, it's not in our high school plan. Maybe that plan will change and we'll be able to do it in her third year of high school, we'll have to see....

Thank you, ladies. I'm off to do some exploring; if you think of anything else, send it along as well.

Peace,
Nancy

Bumping this up to ask:

Anyone who has done this study guide - do you have any suggestions, input, advice, etc. to share? Or a list of items I should be seeking out now before the set arrives (my son is buying/getting the set for his upcoming birthday - he's paying for most of the study guide itself, his godfather is filling in the rest and buying the extra books).

We've not done a unit study like this before (I wanted to do FIAR, but only had a few of the books - so we did those ones) --- I'd like to do the Prairie Primer next year or the year after since I've read here on the forums that it is much more comprehensive and historical than the Narnia one. But... we're just starting out.

I'd love to hear anyone's thoughts
