Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

OLIVIA AND THE LITTLE WAY written by Nancy Carabio Belanger was read in 2-3 hours by my 5th Grader! She highly recommends it

Back cover reads:

Fifth grader Olivia has moved to a new school and is eager to make friends. Her best friend quickly becomes someone she has never seen - St. Therese of Lisieux.
Follow Olivia's trials as she tries to fit in. With the help of her grandmother, she learns about the "Little Way" of serving God and how it can change everything!
This touching and heartfelt story celebrates the life of St. Therese and will inspire children to follow her example and discover their own "Little Way" miracles.

See Olivia and the Little Way to order! ($10.95)

I'm so glad she liked it, Nique! A friend of mine (and member here) recommended it a few months ago on this thread.

It's also sold here, at Catholic Heritage Curricula.

Coming back here to highly recommend this little novel! My 9.5 year old just read it and COMPLETELY LOVED IT! She wants to read it AGAIN, which I think is the first time that has happened to her, so it says a lot!

My daughters were 8 and 11 when this first came out and they both loved it, even my non-reader! It's a fabulous story.

I just gave this to my 5th grader as required reading to start the year. I haven't asked her about it yet, but notice that she has been helping out cheerfully with whatever I ask her to do. Every. Time.
