I just wanted to pass on this site to you! The book prices are so cheap to start with and it works out extremely cheap even after you work out the conversion from British pounds. Can you believe it? NO POSTAGE to anywhere in the world!!

I did a little play around with a book from The Book Depository and Amazon and conversion rates, amazon worked out $4 cheaper BUT I'm not sure of amazon postage.

Anyhow I thought of our British members and members from other countries. Don't we have Katie here from near Russia somewhere who can never get books? Maybe they will post to some more remote areas. I know there are a few of you in those situations.

What a blessing your information is! We are not so far from the UK but when Amazon postage starts adding on a postage charge per book ontop of a general postage rate it is even interesting for us just across the Channel. Plus I have several friends in difficult to reach countries to whom I can send a little something to read!

So pleased to help, I hadn't thought about the fact that you could use it to send presents, don't know why

I thought the prices were so cheap also beside the postage deal.

It is silly isn't it to charge so much more for such a short distance across the channel, makes you see why smuggling was so lucrative

Erin, thanks so much for this information. We just relocated here, and I knew about Amazon, but was wondering about other possibilites for booksellers. Always wanting to add to my collection ... I am sure that shipping from the states will be quite a lot.
