Because I am not very busy these days... ...I decided to try to help along some neighborhood relationship building and start a book club for the ladies in this neighborhood. I am hosting our first meeting tomorrow night, and would love your input. This will not focus on Catholic, religious reading...I don’t think any of them are Catholic...but I would love suggestions for good literature.....literature with good character development. I loved “The Help” and am not opposed to recent literature...but am horribly out of the loop with more modern pieces. I didn’t want to insist on “Jane Eyre” right out of the gate...
Any thoughts? I think we are all on the same page, at least from the girls I have talked to so far, that we don’t want tawdry, romantic, “adult” kind of stuff, ( whew), but books that are good to discuss. There are mostly moms with younger children, but others that are older with teens, and grown children as well.

Thoughts? What have I gotten myself into????
