is tomorrow -- the 25th. Since our youngest has St. Paul as a patron, I'd like to do some fun things .... any ideas folks?
I thought I could have the little ones act out the conversion (making JP St. Paul should prove very exciting for all involved and he has a perfect rocking horse to fall off!) for Dad after dinner.
I'd also like a coloring picture if anyone knows where I can find one?
Any foods or crafts reminiscent of St. Paul?
Any suggestions are most kindly appreciated!

Just some brainstorming, Mary....
I don't have specific foods in mind, but some Jewish specialties might be really appropo. Serve a Kosher meal and discuss the Old Law that changed.
And since he was a tentmaker...well, that would be so fun to work a tent into your day, storebought or living room specialty!

More ideas:
A cake in the shape of a book.
Scroll writing. Parchment and calligraphy pens (or whatever) and rolled up final results. Discussion of epistles, what they were intended to be.

This is from "My Nameday - Come for Dessert":
In art St. Paul is identified by the sword with which he was beheaded, by the book of his epistles, and by the fountain which sprang up where he was beheaded. His shield is red with two crossed silver swords or a palm tree, symbol of the resurrection - a truth he constantly stressed.
A book cake decorated with a sword is used on St. Paul's feast, or the crown cake to honor the crown of victory which he writes in his epistles.

This is also a lovely version, CONVERSION OF PAUL by Lucas Cranach the Younger 1515-1586
And Catholic Parent's Book of Feasts includes a story of Paul fleeing to the desert and being fed by a raven with fresh bread and dates from a palm tree. It suggests a recipe for "Beth's Wheatless Fruit Bread". I can type up if you wish. I've never heard this story before, and wonder if it's a confusion with St. Paul the hermit.

You're right -- this is a very cool resource! My kids will love this. Maybe instead of doing a sword-shaped cake, I could do St. Paul's "shield"....
