Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Has anyone used this with their teens? I would love to hear how you scheduled it. I believe that the DVDs contain 8 half hour schedules. I was planning on watching the DVDS and discussing with my older kids. Or maybe even doing it as part of our morning family hive time, once a week and including the younger children.

Please would you share your opinions on the program.

Well, we once watched a sample of the teen version and my oldest two did not like this at all! They didn't like all the jokes he throws in! We are now doing the adult version, but only the audio one. We are simply listening to the CDs, but only on Sundays as time allows. I'm sure we would get more out of it if we used the workbook and followed along in the Bible, but we haven't done so. I do think that the adult version is better for high schoolers (seniors), simply because some of the content. If you do this program the way it is supposed to be done, it is very time consuming (at least the real version). This is our experience, so I don't know if other people feel the same about this.

Thank you so much Eva. This was actually my concern. Someone from our parish will be lending me the program - and I have not seen it. But my children (and I) tend not to like the teen versions of things - often they are dumbed down and cater to teens who are not really interested in their faith.

My husband and I actually did the original adult audio Great Adventure - and I own the cds and book. Maybe we will just listen to these instead. Also I do not have a huge amount of time as we have very "meaty" theology and Confirmation prep plans.

We do Bible verse and Catechism memorization as a family - I just wanted the Great Adventure for the historical/salvation history aspect.

Thank you again for always answering my questions.

You are welcome, have you looked at Maria Rioux's suggetsions, especially for the higher grades? She has some other Bible possibilities there.
