Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We went to a Carmelite Monastery for the feast of St Therese this year (1 Oct) and of course they had the distribution of the blessed roses in honour of St Therese. We have received these beautiful roses nearly every year but we usually finally place them in the soil of our Mary garden, once they have dried out and broken down.

I wanted to give some of the petals to friends this year and didn't know what was the best way to do that, without them getting crushed/crumbled. So I came up with a craft that we have enjoyed very much and one that will now do every year.

Here is my step by step photo tutorial of showcasing the Blessed Petals of St Therese over at my blog.
