Are there any? I'm looking for a Catholic Mosaic type book for a CM group I'm in. We'll be meeting on hi sfeast day September 21st. Yes, I am looking ahead!

The only thing I can think of is The Twelve Apostles by Marianna Mayer
I have not seen this particular book but I remember someone here recommending it...

I do have The Twelve Apostles. It is a beautiful book, but has one page decribing each apostle. I'm on the hunt for more of a story book about Matthew.
Thank you, Donna Maria. I plan on using that as a back-up!

There are really so few picutre books available of most of the saints (considering how many saints there are!). I just keep hoping some extremely talented Catholic mommy author/illustrator decides to address this and gets a publishing contract
Ignatius press has been publishing the most new ones recently (like the St. John Vianney, St. Bernadette, and Pope Benedict ones). Maybe we should start a writing campaign of suggestions - letting them know how appreciated books in this genre would be...

Mary, I really like the ones at Ignatius Press. I agree, about needing more books out there....there can never be enough!
I can't find the Pope Benedict book

Jenn, What is important to you? The story or the pictures for your gatherings?
I don't know of any picture books for St. Matthew, either. I do know of one great story in a saint book that would really be enjoyable to read aloud. It's an OOP book, The Saint of the Week by Sr. Verona Murray.
I would type up the story and intersperse it with some of the gorgeous art masterpieces and use that for your club.

Jennifer,
I guess I'm looking for both. I'm thinking it doesn't exist. I would love to use a picture book that tells a story about him. Much like some of the other CM books. For instance like the recent St. Brigid's Cloak for St. Brigid. This is Catholic Mosaic group, so using a living book is essential.

Jenn, I am looking to order some books for Lent, so I'm going to add The Saint of the Week to my list. Thank you for the suggestion!
