Is there a special prayer of Thanksgiving that you pray before your Thanksgiving dinner in addition to Grace before Meals?

Bountiful God,
you have blessed us in many ways,
in the beauty and richness of our land,
and in the freedom we enjoy.
You have given us even greater gifts
in our family who loves and cares for us
and in the grace which allows us to
know and believe in you.
May we be grateful for all our blessings,
not just today, but every day.
Help us to turn our gratitude into action
by caring for those in need
and by working for a more just society.

I found this prayer on Danielle Bean's blog a few years ago, and have used it ever since.

Thanksgiving Table Prayer
O Gracious God, we give you thanks for your overflowing generosity to us. Thank you for the blessings of the food we eat and especially for this feast today. Thank you for our home and family and friends, especially for the presence of those gathered here. Thank you for our health, our work and our play. Please send help to those who are hungry, alone, sick and suffering war and violence. Open our hearts to your love. We ask your blessing through Christ your son. Amen.
