Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Ds is in 7th grade this year and we are trying to do Faith and Life 7. It just isn't working for him. It is a major chore and "boring." Any other resources I can use to supplement while we continue to read the chapters together so I can learn...

I have a post called Gifts of the Holy Spirit Teaching Tools and if you scroll down to the "smarties" idea, my confirmation teacher did something very similar with us on a retreat. It stuck with me enough that I searched the internet far and wide to track it down.

Wish I could be of more help. My kids are all really young.

I also have and love the The Sacrament of Confirmation For Confirmation Candidates book.

An inexpensive alternative

My oldest also decided that the Faith and Life series was 'boring' and we moved to using the St. Joseph Baltimore series as she liked the straight forward, no-frills approach.

She's now in grade seven and currently on the Sacraments and Prayer section of The Saint Joseph Baltimore #2 which is working out quite well. The discussions prompted by the discussion questions and suggested bible readings round out the readings quite well.
