Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We are still new at narrating so I have many questions! I started by reading the text, having them look at the illustrations, and then narrating to me. However they don't seem to understand some of the vocab. (ex. blasphemy) and I'm wondering when is the appropriate time to discuss the reading?

Should I first tell the reading in my own words and talk about points I want to make, moving on to the actual reading and then to their narration? Should I just read the scripture and discuss it then before having them narrate? Should I not be discussing it?    What do you all do?

My kids are young elementary.
Thanks

For Bible verses I do copywork rather than narration. It just works better for us if we read it together, discuss it, and then ds copies the text exactly. However, for narration I have used a children's picture Bible for Bible stories like Noah's Ark, Jonah and the Whale, etc, that are easily comprehended and can be retold with ease by dc.
I would not hesitate to discuss before narration if you are using an adult Bible.
