I have just found this beautiful picture, it kept calling me to take her home.
Do you know which saint she is?
I've googled a few, thinking I knew but can't match her.

I thought that too, it is just that I didn't find any pictures exactly the same. So it still could be.

Here is a link with a picture that is at least a partial of yours.

It's definitely Maria Goretti (my confirmation saint). I think an old book had this illustration on its cover. Google images pulled that picture up a few times.
It's how she's usually depicted, arms crossed, shawl around her shoulders, lilies in hand.

Yes, Jenn is correct. I have seen this illustration before, too.

This was so much fun! We need to start like a Catholic game show or something like this. Anyone else need a saint picture identified?

Thanks ladies, knew I could count on you to help
I have to admit I was hoping you would say St Philomena as I have to buy a young lady something for her Confirmation and her Sts were Philomena and Martha.
Lacy
Great idea I have a folder of all sorts of game questions my mother spent hours and hours compiling, I might just start that game show for you

yes, it is Maria Goretti! She is my confirmation Saint. I converted when I was 23 and so felt her with me through being confirmed. That same painting hangs in my living room. What a beautiful Saint she is!!

It sure looks a LOT like St. Philomena! And that was my first though. But she would have had an anchor and/or arrows with her as well. This young lady only has the symbol of purity.

I have just checked my holy card of St Philomena and yes she has the anchor.
I am positive it is Maria Goretti because of the lilies. I have a very similar picture in my Picture book of Saints.
I like the game idea. !!

CatholicMommy, here is an interesting link to St. Philomena! HTH
http://saintphilomena.us/
Simonetta made a wonderful audio tape to listen too, while reading your own copy of "King of The Golden City" on this website, and you can order it, by printing out her Order Form!
My kids and I highly recommend it!
You can buy the book from CHC.
Both are excellent First Communion Resources
