Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We are about to formally begin preparation for First Reconciliation with our oldest daughter. I found a resource on here about First Communion Notebooks and love that idea and wonderfed if anyone has done something similar for First Reconciliation? I am also open to any other tried and tested ideas for Reconciliation preparation!!!

Thanks,
Britta Kreps

Welcome to the Forum, Britta! It's so wonderful to "see" new faces.

This is the "working document" I use for each child's notebook as a starting point....choosing, deleting, changing as needed. It's sort of a compilation of all threads, and there is a section specifically for First Penance Prep.

And, I don't mean to overwhelm you , but we have these compiled, so I thought I'd list them here:

First Communion Notebooks
FHC Notebook
First Communion Notebook~the 4 pager
First Communion Notebook - help! Specific Plans from Marilyn and Melissa

Welcome to 4 Real, Britta. You've come to a good place to glean ideas for your sacramental prep. This idea that was shared a while back was really a neat approach - Sacrament of Penance Treasure Box and this thread has pictures of it.

Thanks for the great ideas! And hello to Tracy - good to "see" a familiar face.

I'm super excited to do the Treasure Box craft. My daughter loves to do crafts and this will really bring some good ideas into her little brain.
