What do you ask your students to put on the top of their work pages?
Different orders have different headings. I'm wondering if we could compile a list of choices. (If this hasn't been done already.
My SIL is a Carmelite. The letters she writes to us have:
JM + MT
The Carmelites include Teresa (of Avila, I presume) in their headings. This week I asked my children to try this heading instead of +JMJ.
My brother belongs to the Franciscans of the Immaculate. He always includes an
Ave Maria!
I think he puts it before his greeting and also includes a JMJ at the top. (I should look again.)
It was fun to try something new.

It's not a heading, but our pastor ends his printed homilies:
+
Ad maiorem Dei gloriam semper.

At my sons' Jesuit high school, all of their papers must have A.M.D.G. (Ad majorum Dei gloriam - "For the Greater Glory of God")under their names. We have adopted that into our home school.
God Bless,

+JMJ+ here too. That is what I was required to do in Catholic School.
I use AMDG in my personal correspondence.

Can someone tell me what S.A.G. stands for? I have a dear elderly Catholic lady who always puts it on the outside of her envelopes when she send me a letter. I keep forgetting to ask her!
The children just do: +J.M.J.+

S.A.G. is "Saint Anthony Guide."
Saint Anthony is supposed to guide the letter safely to its destination.

I haven't had the kids do a heading , though it is a nice idea and I should incorporate. My older sons' high school had them include their school motto Auspice Maria (under the protection of Mary) on papers.

A.M.D.G.
A simple cross at the top of the page is all I ever thought to do. I like the other ideas, but it is probably too late to change THEM now, maybe I'll take one up though .

Oh, my ... I haven't been doing this with the kids, but this post just reminded me of putting JMJ on top of all my work in Catholic school ...
Ohhhh-Kaaaaaaaay, the kids are going to start doing this now, too.
Thanks for the reminder!

Well I couldn't decide so sometimes I get them to do JMJ on one side of the page and AMDG on the other

This week we'll try this heading. It's beautiful.
