Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Any tips on this? We had a chest of drawers in our living room at one point...the top of the chest was our "altar" and I used the drawers for storage. The dresser has since been taken for another use in another room, and the stuff from the drawers was stored, for a time, in the entertainment center. Now I cleaned those out because we got a Wii for Christmas, and I need to sort/toss/organize/find new space for these things. Thought I'd check for brilliant ideas first.

I use the 18 gallon rubbermaids and store everything in the attic. I label the rubbermaid totes with an index card, in a easy to see color (usually white) clearly and boldly labeled with sharpie. (i.e. Mardi Gras and St.Patrick's day have a shared tote it is green - St. Valentine's has 2 red ones and so on). This works really well if you can find the space. I have purchased the totes over the years so by and large my items are in appropriately colored totes. This system makes it nice for me because if I see something during the year I want to add, it can easily be put in the proper box. So, I can pick up those clearance sale, or garage sale bargains and remember to use them because I can FIND THEM again.

The only exception is the books - hubby gets a little exasperated when I want him to hall huge rubbermaid tubs full of books up and down the ladder to the attic.
So, these go on a shelf in the back of the coat closet. Out of the way, and yet accessible if needed.

I should mention we live if FL now - so the coat closet doesn't get a lot of traffic here
